2 die, 5 injured in Lagos church stampede
At least two people died and five others were injured during a stampede at a church event in Lagos on Friday.
Confirming the incident in a statement, the spokesman of the police command in Lagos, Benjamin Hundeyin, said that an adult and a child died in the stampede
He said that the tragedy occurred during a congregational service at the church which is located in the Ikotun area of the state.

Hundeyin added that authorities were already investigating what caused the stampede, while the five injured were being treated in a local hospital.
