Afenifere leader Adebanjo rejects Tinubu, backs Peter Obi
Chief Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of Afenifere, a pan Yoruba socio-political organization, has rejected Sen Bola Tinubu, his kinsman and presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and baked the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 presidency, Mr Peter Obi.
The elder statesman made this known while speaking on an online radio program, Yoruba Gbode.
Adebanjo stressed the unflinching support of Afenifere for the Labour Party candidate, adding that Obi has the ability to rule independently and would not disappoint Nigerians.
The respected Yoruba leader said that he had lost confidence in both Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“It is only Peter Obi that can rule independently without the influence of these criminals in the government.
“Tinubu will only give continuity to Buhari’s incompetence.
“We know Peter Obi very well , that’s why we endorsed him. He will not disappoint Nigerians.
“Let’s put tribal differences apart and vote the right leader in.
“Tinubu sold Buhari to over 200 million Nigerians for his own selfish interest of wanting to rule after Buhari.
“None of them loves Nigeria.”
“The southeast should be trusted with power, the geopolitical zone deserves to lead the country,” Adebanjo added.
