The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has appointed two former Senate Presidents, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Pius Anyim, as Special Envoy and Special Adviser, respectively, for his 2023 election campaign.
This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Paul Ibe, the Media Adviser to Atiku, which said that the appointments are to take immediate effect.
Periscope International reports that the 2023 electioneering campaigns officially kick off on Wednesday.
Ibe announced that Atiku also appointed former governor of Kano State, Sen Ibrahim Shekarau, former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Senator Ehigie Uzamere, as Special Advisers in the campaign team.
Also appointed is a former national chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, who was appointed as Technical Adviser.
Atiku Abubakar charged the appointees to use their vast political experiences in ensuring that the PDP presidential campaign records resounding success in the 2023 election.
