Breaking: 37-year-old Rep-elect is dead
The House of Representatives member-elect for Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency, Taraba State, Isma’ila Maihanchi, is dead.
A family source disclosed that Maihanchi died in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness.
He said that deceased’s remains would be laid to rest according to Islamic rites later in the day.
The late Maihanchi won the election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Born on Oct 22, 1986 the late politician and businessman was elected during the Feb 25 general elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Prior to his election also, he was a Special Adviser to Taraba State Gov Darius Ishaku.
The late Rep-elect is is survived by a wife and a son.
