Breaking: APC fixes Feb. 2022 for national convention

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has tentatively fixed Feb. 2022 for the conduct of its elective national convention.

Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, disclosed this on Monday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja to State House Correspondents after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the APC and Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni, Jigawa Governor, Mohammed Badaru, and Bagudu were the three governors who met with the president on Monday to discuss crucial issues pertaining to the ruling party.

Prior to their meeting with the president, the APC Governors met behind closed-door with Senate President Ahmad Lawan to discuss pressing party issues.

Periscope International recalls that the governors under the aegis of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) also had a meeting on Sunday which according to sources had the national convention topping the agenda.

A fixed date has yet to be fixed for the February 2022 national convention according to the Kebbi State who briefed the media on behalf of his colleagues.
