The 4 hostages rescued by IDF
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops have successfully rescued four Israeli hostages from Hamas captivity in a daring operation in the central Gaza Strip.
The rescue operation, which took place in the early hours of Saturday, on June 8, involved simultaneous raids on two Hamas sites in Nuseirat, central Gaza.
The victims’ rescue brings their six-month ordeal in Hamas captivity to an end.
Periscope International recalls that the hostages were abducted by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023, from the Supernova music festival near the southern community of Re’im.
According to the Times of Israel, the hostages are identified as Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv.
At one location, Argamani was rescued, while Meir Jan, Kozlov, and Ziv were at the second location.
Local reports said that hostages were all in good condition, according to initial medical assessments, and were taken to Tel Hashomer Hospital for further evaluation.
It was gathered that the operation was supported by heavy airstrikes against Hamas sites, resulting in a “large number” of casualties, according to Hamas health authorities.
IDF’s swift and precise action ensured the safe release of the hostages, bringing relief to their families and the Israeli government.
“We are thrilled to announce the successful rescue of four Israeli hostages from Hamas captivity.
“This operation demonstrates the IDF’s unwavering commitment to protecting its citizens and upholding its values of courage and resilience,” an IDF spokesperson said.
