Breaking: Plane crashes in Lagos, catches fire 

A small aircraft said to be a chopper has reportedly crashed in Oba Akran area of Lagos State and went up inflames.

The helicopter, which had 4 persons, including the pilot on board, crashed on buildings adjacent AP Filling Station and the United Bank for Africa, UBA, Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja.

It is not yet clear what caused the aircraft to crash and to immediately burst into flames on impact with the ground at about 3:30pm.

All four casualties were however retrieved from the aircraft alive.

They have been transferred to hospital for further care. 

Officers of the Lagos Fire Service, RRS, LASTMA, FAAN had arrived the scene of the crash and were all on ground as of the time of filing this report.

No official statement has however been released by relevant authorities regarding the incident prior to filing the story.

Efforts to get official reactions from them too proved abortive.
