The late Abubakar Adams

Rep. Abubakar Adams (LP-Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency Kaduna) is dead.

According to family sources, Adams died on Tuesday morning, July 16, 2024, after a brief illness.

He was 39 years old.

The deceased lawmaker was  a former general manager of Kada City FC and Remo Stars.

He was elected into the House of Representatives on the platform of Labour Party (LP) in 2023.

He was appointed Chairman, House Committee on Sports, the position he occupied until his death.

Adams’ death was the second to hit the House within a week following the death of Rep Olaide Akinremi (PDP-Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo State.

The deceased lawmaker passed away on July 10.

Until his death, Akinremi who also died after a brief illness at the age of 51.

The late Akinremi was a distinguished and ranking member of the 10th Assembly, who served as Chairman of the House Committee on Science Research Institutions.
