The presidential aspirant is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on which platform he served as past governor of Imo State for eight years and then proceeded to the senate.

Earlier this week, reports said that the former governor of Imo state disclosed that he would address a world press conference on Monday, January 31st, 2022 to officially declare his ambition to contest the presidency.

Prof. Aliyu Abdullahi Jibia, the chairman of the organising Committee, had maintained that Okorocha was the best man for the job, given his “intimidating credentials.”
