Breaking: Tina Turner, Queen of Rock’n Roll music is dead
Tina Turner, US-born Queen of Rock’n Roll music, has died at the age of 83.
The famous music star reportedly died on Wednesday after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.
Periscope International learned that Tina had suffered ill health in recent years, being diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016 and having a kidney transplant in 2017.
She was one of Rock’s greatest vocalists and most charismatic performers.
Confirming her death in a statement, her spokesperson said:
“Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll,’ has died peacefully today at the age of 83.
“She died after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht, near Zurich, Switzerland.
“With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.”
The deceased musician was one of the best-loved female rock singers, known for her on-stage presence and a string of hits.
Some of her hit tracks include: What’s Love Got to Do With It; The Best; Proud Mary; and Private Dancer.
