Buhari budgets N1.6bn for new cars in 2022
The presidency has planned to spending a whopping sum of N1.6 billion for the purchase of brand new cars and spares for the fleet in 2022.
Recall that the N16.39 trillion FG 2022 budget of ‘Economic Growth and Sustainability,’ has a deficit of N6.26 trillion.
This is contained in the 2022 budget proposal which President Muhammadu Buhari presented before a joint session of the National Assembly on Thursday.
The budget breakdown indicates that the current phased replacement of vehicles and spares will cost the Nigerian taxpayer N1.6 billion.
This is against the N436m which the presidency budgeted in 2021 for the same purpose.
