Dariye congratulates Plateau governor-elect, Mutfwang over victory
Chief Joshua Dariye, a former Governor of Plateau, has congratulated Mr Caleb Mutfwang, the Governor-elect of the state over his victory at the poll.
Dariye, who congratulated Mutfwang of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) via telephone call on Monday in Jos, promised to pray and support the governor-elect toward the growth, development and progress of the state.
The former governor described Mutfwang’s victory at the poll as a collective expression of the people of the state.
”Hello Caleb, congratulations on your victory, this is a collective expression of the wish of the people that you deserve their mandate and you have earned their confidence; be rest assured of our support, prayers and loyalty.
”I have said that I left Plateau better than I met it, you will leave Plateau better than myself, former Gov. Jonah Jang and the incumbent Gov. Simon Lalong, met it.
”May God give you all the wisdom that you need like that of Solomon so that you will leave gloring legacies that will bring Plateau back on the path of glory.
”Once more congratulations and best wishes,” Dariye said.
INEC on Monday declared that Mutfwang, who polled 525, 299 votes defeated his closest opponent, APC’s Dr Nentawe Yilwatda who scored 481, 370 votes.
