Birthday: Davido gives away N250m to orphanages across Nigeria
Nigerian music star, Davido has given away all the money he realised from donations from his friends and fans for his birthday to orphanages in Nigeria.
He had raised over N200M within 72 hours after he shared his account details on social media.
Davido’s bank account had hit over N200 million from the donations following which he announced his personal donation to the contributions to bring the money to over N250 million.
The music star said in a statement on Saturday that he had set up a committee that will manage and distribute the money to the orphanage homes.
He wrote on Twitter,”I am delighted to announce that all the funds received totalling N200,000,000 will be donated to orphanages across Nigeria as well as the Paroche Foundation.
The father of three who said that his goal was to raise funds every year as part of activities to mark his birthday, prayed that his fans and friends would continue to support his charity.
