Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested six suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja.
They were arrested on Tuesday during an early morning sting operation at Jahi and Dawaki axes of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, based on credible intelligence on their alleged criminal activities.
The EFCC gave the names of the suspects as: Emmanuel Ndubuisi, Solomon Tochukwu, Okotie Kingsley, Benedict Akor, Samuel Anosike and Samson Iffy.
According to the commission, it recovered the following Items from the suspected fraudsters: One Mercedes Benz car; two Lexus RX350 and one Toyota Camry.
Others items included: laptops, mobile phones, one international passport and an expensive wrist watch.
The anti-graft agency added that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded.
Periscope International reports that over the years many Nigerian youths have been found to indulge in internet fraud, many of whom have been apprehended, convicted and sentenced for the crime.
