Baba Nimgbak William Fabong Dalung, the father of former Minister of Youth and Sports under President Muhammadu Buhari has died at the ripe age of 105.
The former Minister confirmed the passing of his father on social media cited on Friday.
According to Dalung, his beloved father died while he was in the midst of preparations for the burial of his mother, Nalkat Yah Chirram, who passed away at the age of 90 earlier this month.
“While making final preparations for my mother’s burial on Saturday, 23/12/2023, I received yesterday, 18/12/2023, another devastating news of the passage of my father, Nimgbak William Fabong Dalung, at the age of 105 years.
“When he (the father) received the news of my mother’s exit, he called and commiserated with me. My father appreciated my modest efforts in taking care of them.
“He finally left me with these words, ‘Take heart because I am also on my way.’ Was this the parting gift, my beloved Nimgbak?”
The senior Dalung had served as a Director of Health with the Taraba State Local Government Service Commission before attaining mandatory retirement age.
