He said that President Bola Tinubu would soon unveil the mass housing programme in line with the much-awaited Renewed Hope Social Housing Programme.

He said that the programme was part of a larger effort to address the housing needs of Nigerians from all economic backgrounds.

The Minister described the programme as visionary, highlighting that it embodied President Tinubu’s dedication to providing all Nigerians with access to respectable housing.

The Minister further emphasized that this initiative showcased his enthusiasm for improving Nigeria, ensuring that even the most vulnerable citizens have the opportunity to own a comfortable home.

Dangiwa explained that the programme’s funding would come from the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund (RHIDF).

The Minister further explained that, on completion, 80 per cent of the houses would be allocated to Nigerians residing in the respective local government areas, and who earn a reasonable income.

He said those who are interested would have to allocate one-third of their monthly earnings as part of the purchase process.

“Anyone earning as low as N30,000 per month will be able to purchase a house, as they will only need to pay N10,000 monthly, which is one-third of their earnings.

“Similarly, someone earning N90,000 will pay N30,000.

“Each estate will be equipped with auxiliary facilities such as recreational areas, a primary school, a police outpost, a clinic, and a shopping mall,” he said.
