Dr Gyang Bere, the Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPPA) to Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, says his principal has initiated laudable policies and programmes aimed at rebranding the state.
Bere said this when Mr Thomas Bejeh, the Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in Plateau, visited him on Wednesday in Jos
The chairman, who visited in company of other officials, presented Bere with his certificate of induction as an Associate of NIPR.
The media aide maintained that the governor had placed Plateau on the path of steady growth, particularly in the area of peace and security, tourism, agriculture, infrastructure, among other critical sectors.
“The governor is running an all-inclusive, transparent and accountable government; his desire is to meet the yearnings and aspirations of Plateau people.
“He is the servant of the people and he cherishes the mandate given to him by the people of Plateau; he will never take it for granted.
“This is why the governor is working round the clock to transform and rebrand Plateau, by placing it on the path of growth and development.
“The outcome of this commitment is attracting tourists, investors and foreign partners into the state to invest and carry out legitimate businesses that will in turn transform Plateau,” he said.
Bere thanked residents of the state for their support and prayers toward the success of the Mutfwang-led administration.
He also called on members of NIPR to support the state government, particularly in the area of information management.
Earlier, Bejeh, who congratulated Bere for the feat, promised to tackle quackery in the business of public relations and information management in the state.(NAN)
