The All Progressives Congress (APC) Professional Women Network on Friday in Abuja decorated ,Dr. Suleiman Argungu, a former deputy governor of Kebbi State, as its patron.
This is contained in a statement issued in Ilorin on Friday, signed by Ms Bola Ipinlaiye, the Coordinator of the group in Kwara.
Ipinlaiye said that Argungu, who is also the National Organising Secretary of APC, was decorated with the patron position at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
She explained that the group unanimously chose Argungu as its new patron because of his dedication, commitment and championing of the group’s cause..
The coordinator quoted the group’s president, Dr Wuraola Agbaje-Owolabi, as saying that Argungu is an epitome of dedication and selflessness.
Ipinlaiye described Argungu as a seasoned technocrat, administrator, politician and committed democrat.
She explained that the honour will sour Argungu, who will bring to bare his wealth of experience ahead of the 2023 general elections, and in the future for the group.
The Coordinator listed the national executives present at the event to include, Mrs. Atinuke Balogun, the National Secretary, Mrs. Kori Shettima, the North East Coordinator, and a Group member Mrs. Christy Adeagbo.
