Breaking: Gunmen abduct APC chairman
Gunmen have kidnapped the chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ekiti State, Paul Omotosho.
Omotosho was reportedly abducted on the Agbado-Imesi-Ekiti road in Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state, Saturday evening.
Confirming the incident, a family source said that Omotosho was on his way to his hometown when the gunmen ambushed his vehicle with sporadic gunshots and whisked him away into the bush.
The Ekiti state Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Segun Dipe, also confirmed the incident.
Dipe added that the party was already collaborating with security agencies to secure the release of the APC chieftain.
Periscope International reports that the police command in the state had yet to officially react to the development as of the time of filing this report and could not be reached for comments immediately.
