Husband, wife die 2 days apart, leave behind 2 kid orphans
Dr Barde Yelwa, a lecturer in the Department of Biology, Umar Suleiman College of Education Gashua, Yobe State, and his wife have died, just two days apart.
They are said to have left behind two kids, a five-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy.
Periscope International gathered that Yelwa died last Thursday, after suffering from a heart attack in the hospital, where he had taken his sick wife for treatment.
A source familiar with the family’s tragedy said that after Yelwa’s death, his wife also passed away on Saturday.
The source said that the couple being both Christians will be buried today, Monday, in Potiskum, Yobe state at ECWA GOODNEWS Church, according to Christian rites.
It was also gathered that the late Dr Yelwa had acquired his Ph.D barely two weeks ago.
Family members, friends and loved ones have converged at the deceased’s residence to mourn them over the irreparable loss.
