‘I was given N35,000 to procure human head,” suspected ritualist confesses

One of the three suspects arrested for allegedly killing a 73-year-old man said he was given N35,000 by one of the other two suspects to get him a human head for money ritual.

The suspect disclosed this on Tuesday while being paraded along with the other suspects by the Oyo state Amotekun Corps for allegedly killing a 73-year-old man, Adeniyi Samuel.

The suspect said that he was contacted by one Olarewaju to get him a human head for money rituals.

He said that he later contacted one Alfa who took him to one Babaibaji at Bode Market but the man couldn’t get the head for them at the rate of N35,000.

“The next thing I saw the following day was that, AIfa  brought a man and he told me that he had already hypnotized him and he did not know what he was doing, so we took the man to Alfa’s house to slaughter,” he said.

Also speaking, the second suspect, Olarewaju, confessed to be part of the ritual syndicate and was the one that gave them N35,000 for the head which was to be used for money ritual.

“I was called when the guy brought the Baba that we killed, I was asked to hold the legs of the man and the man was slaughtered in his room.

” I was given the head thereafter and I took it home and burnt it to ashes with the intention of using it for money making rituals.

“Here is the ashes of the burnt head, I want to use it for rituals, I want to use it to better my life,” he said.

The third suspect, Alfa, also confessed to be part of those that killed the victim.

“I picked the man from road side at Amuloko area of Ibadan and I called the two guys that sent me to come and assist in killing the man and we slaughtered the man in my room,” he said.

The State Deputy Commandant of Amotekun, Kazeem Babalola, said that the suspects would be handed over to the police for further investigation.
