Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest man and the chairman of Reliance Industries, has acquired a new Boeing 737 MAX 9 private aircraft worth $120m.
This addition expands Ambani’s impressive fleet of private aircraft, which already includes nine other jets and helicopters.
Ambani’s buying of the ultra-long-range jet is the first time that this aircraft is privately owned in India.
The aircraft underwent extensive cabin modifications in Switzerland before its delivery to Delhi.
The Boeing 737 MAX 9 offers a range of over 6,200 kilometres.
It is an ideal choice for long-haul international flights, with major customizations to meet Ambani’s specific requirements.
