KWASU Deputy Bursar collapses, dies watching Nigeria-S/Africa football match
The Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has announced the death of its Deputy Bursar, Mr Ayuba Abdullahi.
The Acting Director, University Relations, Dr Saeedat Aliyu, confirmed the death to newsmen in Ilorin on Thursday.
He said that the deceased died on Wednesday evening and was buried according to Islamic rites on Thursday morning.
The late bursar was reported to have suddenly collapsed shortly after watching the extra time of the AFCON Nigeria-South Africa match at a sports centre in Sango area very close to his house.
He was rushed to a private hospital in the area when he collapsed but could not survive.
