Meet 43-year-old Dr Adaora Umeoji, newly appointed CEO Zenith Bank

With a remarkable academic and professional background, Dr Umeoji’s credentials are nothing short of exceptional.

She graduated from the prestigious University of Jos with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, and an additional Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Adaora also holds a First-Class honors in Law from Baze University, Abuja.

She also obtained a Master of Laws from the University of Salford, UK, and an MBA from the University of Calabar.

Her pursuit of knowledge led her to bagging  a doctorate in business administration from Apollos University, USA.

Adaora’s commitment to excellence extended to prestigious institutions like Harvard Business School, where she completed the Advanced Management Program and various executive programs in Strategic Management and Leading Global Business.

Additionally, she enriched her understanding of economics for business at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, Sloan School of Management and honed her strategic thinking at Wharton Business School.

Dr Umeoji’s professional affiliations include fellowships with esteemed bodies such as the Chartered Banker Institute (UK), Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Institute of Management, among others.

Recognized for her contributions to nation-building, she was honored by the Federal Government of Nigeria with the Officer of the Order of the Niger, OON, in 2022.

Besides such an illustrious background, she serves as a Peace Advocate for the United Nations (UN-POLAC).

Dr Umeoji embodies excellence and leadership, poised to steer Zenith Bank towards greater success.
