Nigerian lady bags first class law degree, breaks London University record
Rabiyya Nasir Ahmad, a Nigerian lady from Kano State and daughter of a Nigeria lawmaker, has broken the record of a London University, by emerging the first female law graduate to bag first class degree in law.
Rabiyya who was awarded a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honour by the Coventry University, London, is the daughter of Nasir Ali Ahmad, the lawmaker representing Nasarawa Federal Constituency of Kano State.
Her highly elated father, on Friday took to his socisl media handle to appreciate God Almighty for crowning the efforts of his daughter who had insisted on studying law, despite his initial resistance.
“I reluctantly agreed to her consistent plea to allow her study law, not knowing the talents that Allah has bestowed her with .
‘’Honestly, her successful performance has also confirmed the hidden talents and brilliance many Nigerian youths are endowed with,’’ he said.
Periscope International reports that Rabiyya Nasir Ahmad was the first black female student with such a performance in the university record, established in 1992.
