Captain of Nigeria’s national football team, Ahmed Musa, has married for the third time.
Sources said Musa married Maryam, a beautiful Shuwa Arab lady from Nigeria’s North-East region, in a secret ceremony on Saturday, July 10.
The 28 years old soccer star who was born on October 14, 1992 in Jos, North Central Nigeria, where he started his football career with JUTH FC, initially married his first wife Jamila, but the couple divorced in 2017.
The same year, he went on to tie the nuptials with his second wife, Juliet Ejue from Ogoja, Cross River State.
Musa’s latest marriage to Maryam now makes her his second wife officially.
The soccer star already has 4 children – 2 from Jamila and 2 from Juliet.
He was born from a multi-religious family to a Muslim father and Christian mother, Sarah Musa, who died in January 2019, from Edo State, South-South Nigeria.
Musa who now plays for local club, Nigeria’s Kano Pillars has plied his professional career with Russian Club, CSKA Moscow, English Club, Leicester City and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr.
He is the first Nigerian to score more than once in a FIFA World Cup match, after scoring twice against Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Musa is also the first Nigerian to score in two different FIFA World Cup competitions, after scoring twice against Iceland in the group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Ahmed Musa is one of the richest Nigerian footballers, with assets home and abroad and an estimated net worth of over $18 million.
