Ogun Governor gifts OAU first class graduate N5m, house, scholarship

Gov Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has gifted the sum of N5 million, a bungalow and free scholarship for a residency programme to Miss Joy Adesina, a first class graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife.

The governor said that the award which was done on behalf of the state government to Adesina, who is an indigene of Ogun State,  follows her stellar academic performance.

Periscope International reports that the young lady had made headlines after she emerged as the best graduating student in the department of Medicine and Surgery.

The academic genius was formerly received by the governor in Abeokuta, the Ogun State in order to honour her for her feat, having emerged as the Best Graduating Student ever produced in the history of the Faculty at the university.

Confirming the reward, Gov Abiodun said on his official Instagram page that Adesina will be receiving the sum of N5 million, a bungalow and free scholarship for her residency programme at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, OOUTH.

He posted thus, “Presenting Letter of Allocation to Dr Joy Oyinlola Adesina, who we have gifted a bungalow, 5million Naira cash award, and free scholarship for her residency programme at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, OOUTH in recognition of her sterling performance, of Clinical Sciences, OAU, Ile-Ife”.
