The late El-Mu’az Birniwa

Popular Hausa singer and Kannywood star El-Mu’az Birniwa has passed on in Kaduna on Wednesday night, a family source said.
He reportedly collapsed on the pitch during a football match to celebrate the upcoming wedding of his fellow musician friend Auta Waziri, and was later confirmed dead.

The deceased’s wedding was slated to hold tomorrow this Friday
“El-Mu’az slumped in the heat of the game and gave up the ghost shortly after,” a friend said, praying for the repose of his soul.
The singer’s colleagues, including those in Kannywood, have taken to their social media handles to mourn him.
