President Bola Tinubu has appointed a former Governor of Benue State, Sen George Akume, as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by the Director of Information, State House, Abiodun Oladunjoye.
Oladunjoye said that the President announced Akume’s appointment during a meeting with Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) of the All Progressives Congress, APC, held on Friday, in Abuja.
He said that the President also appointed the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff.
According to him, Tinubu also appointed a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, Sen Ibrahim Hadejia, as Deputy Chief of Staff.
Sen Akume is the immediate past Minister of Special Duties.
