Prof Dakas felicitates with Gov Lalong’s wife on her birthday
Prof CJ Dakas, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, has congratulated Mrs Regina Lalong, the wife of Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, as she celebrates her birthday today.
The erudite lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) who made this known in a congratulatory message, extolled the virtues of Mrs Lalong, especially in the area of women and youth empowerment, as well as her supportive role to her husband, and described her as a “strong pillar in the success of his administration.”
While noting that Mrs Lalong had contributed her quota to the development of Plateau State, especially in the almost seven years that she has been the First Lady, Dakas said she had carved a niche for herself as a true mother of the state, a well-respected role model and mentor to Plateau women and youths, the poor, the needy, the downtrodden and vulnerable.
Prof Dakas who is one of the few Plateau State gubernatorial aspirants with a clear chance to succeed Gov Lalong in 2023, expressed his unreserved accolades to Mrs Lalong, stressing that the First Lady’s uncanny attributes of being the typical Biblical virtuous woman, coupled with her unending milk of human kindness, her relentless advocacy for peace, justice, and gender equality were legendary legacies that would outlive her.
He, therefore, prayed that God in His infinite mercy may bless, preserve, protect, keep, and grant the governor’s wife sound health, wisdom, strength and long life to enable her to continue to mentor the indigent and most vulnerable people of Plateau State.
The message reads in part:
“I, on behalf of my wife and entire family and associates, wish to congratulate Her Excellency, Mrs Regina Lalong, the wife of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, on the auspicious occasion of her birthday today.
“Your Excellency, over the past couple of years as the state’s First Lady, I observed that you have carved a niche for yourself as a mentor and well-respected role model to Plateau women. You have indeed proved to be a true mother of the state, the poor and the needy, the downtrodden and the vulnerable.
“Your uncanny attributes of being the typical Biblical virtuous woman, your unending milk of human kindness, and your relentless advocacy for peace, justice, and gender equality are legendary legacies for which you deserve my unreserved accolades.
“It is also noteworthy that you proved your mettle as His Excellency’s most dependable ally and the strongest pillar of encouragement and support, especially in his benevolent efforts to turn around the fortunes of the state, through your multifaceted women and youth empowerment programs and philanthropic gestures and goodwill that speak volumes for themselves and which will outlive you.
“Your Excellency, as you celebrate this milestone age, may the LORD bless you, preserve you, protect you, keep you, grant you sound health, wisdom, strength and long life to enable you to continue mentoring the indigent and most vulnerable people of Plateau State. May He also cause your coast to expand and also cause His countenance to continue to shine on you without ceasing.”
