Rep Komsol gifts laptop computers to prospective law school students from constituency
Rep Alphonsus Komsol (APC- Shendam, Qua’an-Pan, Mikang Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, has gifted all newly admitted students of the Nigerian Law School this year from his constituency a brand new HP laptop computer each to assist them in their studies.
In addition to the gesture, the lawmaker also offered to pay the law school tuition fees for all of the no fewer than 15 beneficiary constituennts.
While personally giving out the gadgets to the students in his office at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, Komsol explained that his decision to give them the items was to enable them to compete favourably in the school with other students across the country and achieve academic success.
According to him, it is his belief that the gesture will also go a long way in enabling the students from his constituency to achieve their dreams of becoming legal practitioners in the future.
Rep Komsol further stated that as a people-oriented representative, he had an obligation before God and man to give back to the people who voted him into office.
He also assured his consituents of more people-centered dividends of democracy, stressing that he was bent on delivering qualitative representation to Shendam, Qua’an-Pan, Mikang Federal Constituency.
He said, “May I use this rare opportunity to call on our dear Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong to look into the pathetic plight of Plateau indigenous young lawyers and candidates for the Bar, to pay their long awaited Law School scholarship which has lingered unpaid for over five years now and which has occasioned serious hardship on the indigent students.
“May I also call on all other House of Representatives members, senators and other political office holders, as well as public spirited individuals to support especially, the indigent students who will soon resume for academic activities at the various campuses of the Nigerian Law School.”
The captain of the “Dogara Ga Allah Mandate,” who is renowned for his “promise-and-do” exemplary leadership style, said that proactive, bottom-top approach were his guiding principle and motivation in leadership.
Speaking on behalf of the other beneficiaries, Mr Nanwul Shindai, expressed profound gratitude to the rep member for the gesture and prayed that God would grant him all his heart’s desires.
