Shehu Sani says NYSC responsible for Zamfara youth corps members’ kidnap
Sen Shehu Sani, Kaduna Central, 2015 and 2019, has blamed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for the recent kidnap of two prospective corps members posted to Kebbi State.
Benue State-born prospective corps member, Jenifer Iorliam, was abducted in Zamfara while on her way to the Kebbi State orientation camp.
She was abducted alongside another corps member named Joseph, and the bandits have made contact with her family, demanding for a ransom.
Miffed by the development, the usually outspoken Sani, took to his social media handles to blast the service, saying that the NYSC management should rescue Jenifer and others since it was responsible for posting them to the hot zone in the first place knowing the implication of their own decision.
Sani wrote: “Jenifer Iorliam, a youth Corper posted to Kebbi was kidnapped by terrorists in Zamfara. A ransom is now placed on her head and one other colleague of hers called Joseph. NYSC should be held responsible.”
