Terrorists on the loose across the country
Suspected terrorists killed three police officers and five vigilante officers during an attack on Saturday at Jidda-Bassa community, Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The victims were said to have received a distress call and were on their way to a rescue operation when they were ambushed and shot dead by the assailants.
Mr Jerry Omodara, the Special Adviser on Security to Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Lokoja on Saturday.

He said that the victims were ambushed by the hoodlums in the community.
Omodara added that security operatives were already trailing the culprits and assured that they would be arrested and brought to justice.
