Suspected terrorists invade Plateau community, kill 10
Suspected terrorists have invaded Pinau community in Mavo Chiefdom, Wase local government area of Plateau State and killed ten members of the community.
Residents said that the incident took place on Sunday when the hoodlums struck at a time that some of the victims were returning from the local market.
Reports said that many people were injured in the attack and the assailants also went away with foodstuff, motorcycles, and other items.
Confirming the incident, Plateau State Police Command spokesman Gabriel Uba, said that the police were aware of the incident, adding that further details would be made available later.
The state has witnessed incessant attacks over the years despite government’s claim that peace had returned to the hitherto home of peace and tourism.
