Terrorists kill Zamfara traditional ruler, 4 others
The District Head of Gada town in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Alhaji Umar Bawan-Allah, and four others have been killed by terrorists who attacked their community on Wednesday.
Sources said that the terrorists also abducted some women and children and set ablaze many houses during the attack.
Makau Mohammed, a resident, told newsmen that the district head was killed over his refusal to comply with the bandits’ orders.
According to Makau, the terrorists shot the District Head dead when was shot dead because he resisted the attempt to abduct him.
“When the bandits realized that the District Head was not ready to go with them, they shot him multiple times until he died and later set his palace on fire.
“Several items including his two vehicles were burnt down in the ensuing inferno,” he said.
