Tinubu appoints Ajuri Ngelale as Special Adviser on Media & Publicity

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr Ajuri Ngelale as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

Mr Willie Bassey, Director, Information, Office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF disclosed this in a statement late on Monday.

According to Bassey, the appointment takes effect from 31st July, 2023 and would terminate at the end of this administration unless otherwise decided by the President.

“The President urges him to bring his wealth of media experience to bear on the new assignment”, the statement concludes.

Periscope International recalls that Dele Alake, who was earlier appointed as the President’s spokesman has been nominated by the President for ministerial appointment.

He was born on 12 November to Chief Precious Osaro Ngelale, former Honourable Minister of State for Water Resources and a German US-born mother.

Ajuri also spent some years of his reporting career with Channels TV, where he started working as a TV presenter, producer and senior news correspondent.

After his exit from Channels TV, he was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs by President Muhammadu Buhari.
