Tinubu nominates ex-govs El-Rufai, Wike, Umahi, others for ministerial appointments 

The list, comprising 28 nominees, is contained in a letter read by Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, at the plenary on Thursday.

It was presented to the Senate President in the afternoon by the President’s Chief of Staff and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The ministerial nominees are: Former Kaduna State Governor State, Nasiru El-Rufai, his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike and renowned medical doctor, Ali Pate.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader, Mrs. Betta Edu; immediate past Cross River State Governor, Sen Ben Ayade; and Special Adviser on Media, Strategy and Special Duties to the President, Dele Alake, also met the list.

Others are Mr. Mohammad Idris, Publisher of Blueprint Newspaper, legal luminary, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN); an economist Olawale Edun; banker Adebayo Adelabu; and former Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi.
