Transgender woman dies in accident after priest declares death sentence
Emmanuella Adaolisa, a transgender female choir member at St. John’s Catholic Church, Iwofe, Port Harcourt has died in a tricycle accident after the parish priest at the end of a 21 days fasting and prayer declared that anyone who was about to disgrace the church would die shamefully.
Emmanuella was identified to be a lady only after the accident that claimed her life.
Church members claim they had no knowledge that Emmanuella was a man until mortuary attendants made the discovery.
It was also gathered that the word ‘Trans’ was written on her Facebook profile.
A Facebook user, Chukwuka Gabriel Eseh who shared the story on his page wrote:
“What has our clime turned into?
A certain Emmanuel Nwaolisa. A Pharmacist who graduated from UNIPORT (Emmanuella Adaolisa as facebook name) until the unthinkable happened on the 31st January 2023, nobody knew he was a transgender.
“This person started worshiping at St. John’s Catholic Church, Iwofe Road Portharcourt since November 2022.
“All along, she was putting on an engagement ring, wearing all manner of female makeups, female clothing et’ al. She joined the choir and was climbing the altar at will.
“She had told people around her in the church that she was from Ondo State, had done her traditional marriage, and that she was attending her wedding classes at the Church.
“On that note, parishioners were going along well with her. However, on that fateful 31st of January, after an evening program in the church, on her way home, she met her Waterloo.
“She was was seen in a tricycle (Keke) inside a gutter, bleeding all around her face.
“After being there for a while with little or no rescue, the info got to the church choir members who went there to confirm the story to be true.
“There and then, she was taken to a military hospital around Rumuola PH and on getting there, she was confirmed dead by doctors on arrival.
“When she was to be dressed by the mortuary attendants, it was then that they discovered that she was a he.
“The mortuary attendants then invited the church choir master and interrogated him on Emmanuela’s gender and the choir master said that it was a female.
“But when the choir master and his team were led to confirm their position, they were bewildered by what they saw as they were shocked to realize that they had been dealing with a man and not a women as the deceased had been claiming.
“Many other stories about him started surfacing from people that knew him before. Please my people, let’s be vigilant at all times.”
Another man, David Nwanneka Annastesia, while mourning the deceased, wrote on Facebook:

“He was my coach as a luturgical dancer.He taught me liturgical dance at our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Choba, Port Harcourt.
“He/she in the picture has died in a keke accident in rumuolumini Portharcourt after completing a 21 days prayer and fasting as a chorister in his parish st.John’s Catholic Church Rumuolumini after the priest at the end of the fast declared that anyone who is about to disgrace this church will die shamelessly.
“He lost his life on his way home and after depositing his corpse in the mortuary, the parish catechist discovered he was a man and not a female as he presented himself/herself to the parish and his fiancé is still denying he never knew she was a he.”
