Breaking: Israel mulls relocation of 1.1m Jews to occupy Gaza

Israel has called for the immediate relocation of 1.1 million Palestinians in Gaza to the south of the enclave in what appears to be a move to relocate Jews to occupy the impoverished Palestinian territory.

The decision follows its massive bombardment of Gaza in retaliation for attacks by the terrorist group, Hamas, which has over the years been using Gaza as a base to launch attacks on Israel.

Hamas launched one of the most bloody and deadliest attacks on Israel last weekend since the country’s creation in 1948, killing no fewer than 1,200 Jews and other countries’ nationals, as well as taking away at least 150 hostages in the daredevil attack.

Israel has retaliated by raining air and artillery strikes in Gaza for six days, claiming more than 1,400 lives and displacing over 400,000 people in the crowded Gaza enclave.

The United Nations (UN) said it had been informed of Israel’s order shortly before midnight on Thursday, days after the Hamas massacre.

French News Agency, AFP, reports that the UN has however warned that the action would culminate in “devastating” consequences.

It said the mass relocation of the entire population in northern Gaza to the south of the enclave was “impossible” and urgently appealed for the order to be rescinded.
