Man whose 3 kids died in 2005 Sosoliso plane crash dies
Dr Andy Ilabor, the father of three children, who all died in the December 10, 2005 Sosoliso plane crash, has died.
His three children, Chuka, Nkem and Buso, all students of Loyola Jesuit College Abuja, were aboard the plane, which crashed at the Port Harcourt International Airport, killing 106 people, including their schoolmates.
Dr. Ilabor, a physician and native of Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, reportedly died in his sleep just before the 18th anniversary of the tragic plane crash.
The late Ilabor was until his demise a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and community leader.
He was the Director General (DG) of Delta State’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under Gov Ifeanyi Okowa.
The deceased was also a devout Catholic and politician.
Friends, family members, acquaintances and colleagues, have paid touching tributes to the late medical doctor.
Many described him as a peacemaker, a man with sweet disposition and team player.
