Woman allegedly kills her househelp, hangs corpse, feigns suicide

The police in Lagan have arrested a housewife, Mrs Nene Stephens of number 18 Ogundola street, Bariga Lagos, for  allegedly killing her househelp and hanging the corpse, in order to feign suicide.

The woman was said to have tortured her maid, Miss Joy Adole from Benue state, to death over a dispute about salary arrears and stealing of Indomie noodles.

Following the victim’s death, the suspect, with the help of her husband, decided to hang her corpse and then reported to the police, claiming that she had committed suicide.

It was gathered that girl’s relatives were aware of the acrimony between the victim and the suspect prior to the latter’s and raised an alarm.

Police investigations, it was learned, showed it was murder.

The girl had numerous bodily wounds, her feet were on the ground.

The Autopsy report later showed she was hung after she had given up the ghost.

Periscope International reports that following the findings, the prime suspect’s husband, was also arrested, and both will soon be charged to court for the alleged crime.

The Police Command in Lagos had yet to officially react to the incident as of the time of filing this report.
