An arrested kidnap suspect, John Lyon, has pleaded for forgiveness, claiming that his wife was just delivered of a baby boy.
Lyon was paraded by the police following his arrest in Abuja after being trailed from Bayelsa State.
He was arrested after over 70 million naira was traced to his account as suspected proceeds of kidnapping.

The police said that Lyon’s kidnapping gang is responsible for notorious kidnappings in Bayelsa and its environs.
Lyon, in a viral video showing him handcuffed, claimed that he had only participated in two kidnapping operations before his arrest.
“Forgive me, make una forgive me, my wife just born sef, a boy,” he cried profusely.
