Sen. Simon Lalong (APC-Plateau South) has described the appointment and inauguration of Dr Cyril Tsenyil as the Managing Director of the North-Central Development Commission (NCDC) as a victory for Plateau and the entire North-Central region.
Lalong stated this at a reception held in honour of Tsenyil at his residence on Thursday in Abuja following the latter’s formal inauguration earlier.
He thanked President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajjudeen Abbas, Governors of Kwara, Nasarawa, Kogi, Niger, Plateau, and the FCT for working together to ensure that all interests are carried along.
Lalong also charged Tsenyil to work in synergy with the NCDC Board and Management toward ensuring seamless operations and effective performance.
Also speaking, former Governor of Niger, Sen. Abubakar Bello congratulated Tsenyil for his appointment and urged him to ensure that all states were carried along in the NCDC’s projects implementation.
Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, represented by his deputy, Dr Emmanuel Akabe, while rejoicing with the NCDC Chief Executive Officer, pleaded with the commission’s board and management to avoid mounting pressure on the MD and other appointees.
Sen. Diket Plang (APC-Plateau Central), in a remark, applauded Lalong’s crucial role in ensuring and securing the appointment of Tsenyil.
Other dignitaries who graced the reception included the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Plateau APC Chairman, Rufus Bature, Plateau Assembly Speaker, Daniel Naanlong, among many others.
