L-R: Gates, Miner
By Greg Kerry
Android co-founder Rich Miner blames Microsoft’s failure in the mobile market on Bill Gates.
He claimed that Gates was the key factor in losing the smartphone wars to Android.
Miner explained that he created Android to counteract Microsoft’s efforts to monopolize the mobile space as it did with PCs.
Gates recently admitted that losing to Android was one of Microsoft’s biggest mistakes.
He said that the blunder cost the company $400 billion.
Gates added that Windows Phone 7’s delayed launch in 2010 further solidified Android and Apple’s dominance.
