The late Gen. Wushishi
Gen. Mohammed Wushishi, a former Nigerian Chief of Army Staff during the Second Republic, has died.
Periscope International learned from family sources that Gen Wushishi died at a London Hospital.
Born in 1940 in Wushishi, Niger State, Wushishi served as the Chief of Army Staff between October 1981 and October 1983 during the late President Shehu Shagari Adminstration.

The deceased senior military officer was onetime General Officer Commanding, GOC 4 Infantry Division, Nigerian Army in 1976.
He was also the Commandant, Staff College, Jaji in 1979.
The late Gen Wushishi also actively played a critical role in the Nigerian Civil War between 1967 and 1970.
