The Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Bello, has suspended the Chairman, Niger State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Isah Adamu.
Adamu’s suspension is contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Ahmed Matane.
The SSG explained that the SUBEB boss’ suspension was due to some anomalies which were observed in the operations of the board.
The letter reads in part, “The suspension was necessitated by some observed anomalies in the operations of the board.”
Matane said that the governor had directed Adamu to hand over the affairs of the board to the Permanent Member III on the board.
He added that the directive was to enable full review of the operations of the board for optimal growth.
