Go away, I won’t see you, Atiku tells Tinubu’s peace delegation

The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Candidate in last Saturday’s presidential elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday shut his doors against a delegation of leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, who visited him ostensibly to plead with him to concede defeat to the President-elect, Sen Bola Tinubu.

The visit was apparently part of the moves being made by Tinubu to reach out to all those who had contested against him during the elections adjudged by many as the most fraudulent elections in the history of Nigeria.

The delegation comprised Governors Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa and former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu.

The former Vice President, who is said to have concluded plans to head to court, sent them away. and pointedly told the visitors that he was not ready to see them.

Sources said that the defeated PDP presidential hopeful had met with top leaders of his party to explore options to reclaim his alleged stolen mandate in court.

Periscope International reports that part of the agreement reached was to seek redress at the court where evidence would be rendered to show how the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, allegedly rigged the elections in favor of APC’s Tinubu.
