Israel mulls support for Christians facing persecution in Nigeria

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel is developing an agenda to support Christian communities facing persecution in Nigeria.

He made the remarks during a meeting with evangelical leaders in Florida, where he described Israel as uniquely positioned to defend Christians worldwide.

Netanyahu was speaking to the group during his visit to the U.S. after a strategic meeting with President Donald Trump.

According to him, the threats to Christians and Judeo-Christian values are being driven globally by radical extremist ideologies, which he identified as both radical Shiite and Sunni Islam.
