Mariam Cissé, a renowned content creator from Tonka, in Mali’s Goundam district, has been publicly executed by her kidnappers.
Local media had reported that on Thursday last week, the young woman was abducted at the Echel market, a town located about 20 kilometers from Tonka, in the Timbuktu region of Mali.

The deceased was known for her videos that blended humor, social commentary, and promotion of her hometown.
With nearly 100,000 followers on TikTok, her widely followed content made her a rising star in the young digital scene of northern Mali.
