The police in the United States have arrested a man, Keyvon Warren, for allegedly conspiring with others to kill his 26-year-old baby mama, India Kinamore, and their newborn child, shortly after she gave birth.
The partners were said to have been into a romantic relationship which looked fine from the outside, but inside, cracks were widening.
When the pregnancy came, India was over the moon, however, Keyvon wasn’t ready but pretended because India insisted on keeping it.
What she didn’t know was that his acceptance of responsibility for pregnancy and keeping the baby was not genuine.
India did not know that Keyvon was already tired of their relationship but couldn’t figure out how to walk away while she was pregnant.
She also did not know that he was broke and struggling and lacked the funds to cater for her and the baby.
For him, allowing her to give birth meant a lifetime commitment, which was something he was not ready for, so he began to plan.
India, on the other hand was all joy. She had her maternity photoshoot, organized a gender reveal, hosted her baby shower, bought baby clothes and supplies, and decorated their home in excitement.
She kept dreaming of the day she’d hold her baby in her arms — never imagining the danger sleeping right beside her.
On March 4, 2023, in Colerain Township, Ohio, USA, the nightmare unfolded.
Two men — friends of Keyvon — stormed the Hidden Meadows apartment where India lived.
They staged the attack to look like a robbery, but their real mission was clear. India was shot multiple times.
Both she and her unborn baby died on the spot.
Meanwhile, at his workplace, Keyvon had already applied for bereavement leave before the murder happened.
For months, it looked like a case of robbery gone wrong. But investigators dug deep.
They however later discovered that Keyvon had actually started mourning a woman who was still alive, by planning her murder.
After nearly two years of gathering evidence, questioning, and piecing the puzzle together, it was discovered that he orchestrated the ki||ing of the woman who loved him, and the baby she carried.
He was promptly arrested, along with the two hitmen, all of whom are now facing trial.
If found guilty, he could be sentenced to death or a life imprisonment without parole, depending on the outcome of the court in Ohio.
